Support SatRangaM

The festival aims to be economically accessible by pricing tickets affordably. We need to raise funds to cover the operating costs of the festival. And even though the participating artists have generously accepted very modest honorariums, we need to cover their travel and hospitality costs. We would also like to pay them something closer to what they deserve!

We have already received the support of the prestigious Maharashtra Cultural Centre who are giving us their space at a subsidised rate. Prakriti Foundation is supporting the performance of one of the winners of PECDA. We are in conversations with organisations and companies to help us with marketing and publicity. And many passionate people have volunteered their time, energy and expertise for free.

Because this festival came together miraculously last minute, we have not had the time to follow more traditional fund-raising patterns of grant writing and sponsorships.

But we believe that there are many people out there as excited and awed by the path-breaking opportunity this festival is creating, and that many people, working together, can generate the resources we need. Queer communities routinely create magical spaces of visibility and inclusion by donating their time, labour and resources. We need your support to make SatRangaM a space where queer artists and their art will not just survive, but thrive!

There is no amount too small! ₹500 will cover someone’s meals and ₹1000 a return train ticket. More importantly, every name we can add to our supporters list proves to us that someone cares about our art.

Give us what you can and tell your friends about our fundraiser!
